Edward Mensah, Eric Danquah & Emmanuel Hagan shine in Montverde Academy's friendly against German top-flight side Hertha Berlin

Three Ghanaian teens Edward Mensah, Emmanuel Danquah, and Emmanuel Hagan all products of Mirage Football Academy, were in superb form for Montverde Academy despite losing 4-1 to German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin in a friendly game on Sunday evening.
 
The former players of Mirage Academy in Ghana [owned by Sarpong Boateng Okyere], have been in incerible form since joining Montverde Academy  [U-19] and had a standout performance against the first team of Hertha Berlin which featured the likes of Boyota, Davie Selke and Belgian international Dodi Lukebakio in the match.
 
Center backs, Emmanuel Hagan, Edward Mensah and midfielder Eric Danquah played in the first half, showing lots of promise in the game at their quality best to the suprise of the technical handlers of the German club.
 
Meanwhile, forward Prince Owusu Afriyie played the second half of the good exercise.

Expressing excitement for the Ghanaian trior, Director of Mirage Football Academy, John Yeboah, said his outfit's focus for their players is not to only to get them a professional contract but also wants them to excel academically as well in future after hagging their boots.
 
He says ''We make sure they get qualifications in education so after football or if their career comes to an end due to serious injuries they have something to fall back on'''
 
 
''All I will say is it was a great experience playing a team from one of the best leagues in Europe , I have learnt from how they play tactically , and on our side I have I’ve learnt from the mistakes we did that got us punished. lastly I will say I have to keep working hard and keep believing in myself. A big thanks to Montverde academy for this and also mirage football academy for believing in me for giving me this opportunity to come to Montverde to study and play soccer. A dream come true,'' said a joyous Emmanuel Hagan.
